Actor has not one but two trainers and a strict diet to attain a chiselled body for his next film

Arjun Kapoor’s obsession with fitness is a known fact. In fact, it was Salman Khan who nudged the once-140 kilo actor to shed weight. And since then, Arjun has never looked back. In fact, now the actor has not one but two trainers helping him chisel his body.

Our source says that the actor has become so serious about maintaining his physique that he has even called trainers from abroad to help him get into an even fitter shape. Our source adds, “For his next film Aurangzeb, the actor needs to look a certain way.”

Currently Arjun is being trained by Kris Gethin, who also trained Hrithik Roshan get back into shape post his knew injury and also lose the extra weight he had piled on for Guzaarish.

The actor has Mike Ryan as his other trainer. In the past, Mike has trained international celebs like Mickey Rourke, apart from John Abraham.

The source says, “He is currently working out at the house gym inside Yash Chopra’s studio and he has also been put on a very strict diet.”

When asked about his biggest fear, the Ishaqzaade actor reveals that he has a phobia of ceiling fans since childhood. As he is tall, his hand would invariably hit the fan due to which he has developed a phobia.

Luckily, he has an aversion to ceiling fans and not simply fans!

The success of Arjun Kapoor's debut film "Ishaqzaade" may have turned him into a big name, but the young actor says it has not changed his relationship with his friends. Despite his busy schedules and odd working hours, he manages to spend time with them.

"I am a very anti-social person otherwise, but when it comes to my friends, I always take out time for them," Arjun told.

"My busy schedule has not changed my relationship with them. I am the same with them. And I believe there is no point working so hard that you can't spare time for you friends and dear ones."

Son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late Mona Kapoor, who died of cancer recently, the 27-year-old considers himself lucky to have a group of understanding pals.

Praising his friends, he said that he is lucky to have "amazing and understanding" friends.

"They understand that my profession comes with odd timings and long working hours. They are very supportive and understanding.

"Whenever I get time, we meet and do the usual things that friends generally do. We go and watch movies, spend time with each other and watch football together," he said.

Arjun is set to feature on TV show "Fearless", which goes on air on Bindass July 7.

The show will motivate people to face their worst enemy, their deepest fears with the help of their best friends in a fun manner.

"I relate to the fact that your true friends are always there to help and support you. Most importantly, they don't mock you over your fears. The ones who do that are not your friends.

"I don't have any major fears as such but yes, the ones I had, I have overcame. I must say that my friends really helped me with that," he said.

Finally, all the speculations around the lead actor in Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala's 2 States can now come to rest. It will be Arjun Kapoor who will be playing the lead role in the film to be directed by debutante Abhishek Verman

A source informs us, “Arjun Kapoor has been signed on to play the lead for the role. The deal happened on Monday night and the film will roll by the end year. The leading lady is yet to be finalised.”

The source further said, “Sajid Nadiadwala has bought the rights of the book from Chetan Bhagat and had initially planed to make the film with SRK, which was to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

However after it fizzled, Ranbir Kapoor stepped in and it was then decided to have a co-production with Karan Johar’s company.

After that Imran Khan stepped in. However, he also had to opt out due to date problems. Now Arjun Kapoor has been finalised for the film and he has signed the dotted lines.”

According to the source, Arjun will play a typical Delhi boy who falls in love with a south Indian girl and the film will be shot in the national capital. Abhishek Verman, son of veteran art director R Verman will be making his directorial debut with the film. Karan Johar and Arjun Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.
